Black Tea Flavoured Orange Marmelade

here is all the 60 different reciepes
I think I can?

i'm very excited...

being part of pixies

"putting up: blogging event"

slicing fruit, chopping vegetables, cooking, steaming, mixing

and finelly pouring in clean hot glasses..gives a lot of satisfaction.

someone invites you to a dinner or just to drop by for a cup of tea,

bringing one of your home made delights..gives a lot of gratification.

if you are feeling down and not in the mood, try to do a marmelade...

the parfume that will fill your kitchen, even floating out in the living room..

it will give you a kick, it will make the smile turn back on you lips.

I promise!

now, the recipe seams very complicated..

but it is easier to do, than figure out what it is written!

this is what you need:

500gr of oranges (possibly organic)

500gr of Golden delicous

800gr of plain white sugar

20gr of black tea leaves

2 pieces of cinnamon (ca 3-4cm each)

peel(I use an IKEA vegetable peeler) the oranges and squeeze the juice,

pour the juice in a big bowl.

chop the orange peel and put in a saucepan, cover with fresch water(just to cover the peels)

and give it a boil.

let cook for about 30min.

set aside.

in the meanwhile peel and slice the apples

pute the slices together with the orange jucie and let marinate.

boil 9dl* of fresh water.

when you see the first bubbles, put the tea leavs in.

leave it in infusion for 8min.

pour the tea through a sieve.

put the tea leaves aside and pour back the tea in the pot.

add all of the suger and let it simmer for 10min on meadium heat.

now, in a large pan you put all of the ingredients:

the peels and their boild water

the sirup of tea and suger

the orange juice and the sliced apples

the cinnamon sticks

1 tablespoon of tealeaves

cook the marmelade on gentle heat for almost 2 hours, using a wooden spoon to stir.

it is no use boiling to shorten the time of cooking.

when you are doing marmelades you have to give it all your attention.

after almost one hour and a half,

try the consistence of your marmelade like this:

spoon a teaspoonful of marmalade on to a chilled plate.

Allow it to cool for a minute back in the fridge or just blow to refrigerate.

incline the plate, and if the marmelade is not moving, it is ready!

if it is slippimg down, you need to cook more.

try again in 15min

remeber to take away the pan from the heat

when you are doing the "plate-test".

when the marmelade is ready, take out the cinnamon sticks,

pour in clean glasses using a ladle and a marmelade funnel.

close thight and put the jars up-and-down until perfectely cold.

keep your marmelade in a cool, dark, dry place.

sorry for my english translation, I can't blame you

if something isn't clear enough..

but please ask me and I'll try to explain it better.

lasciare intiepidire.
sbucciare le mele e tagliarle a fettine sottili.
metterle nel sucoo di arancio.
lasciare riposare
zucchero
le due stecche di cannella
1 cucchiaino di foglioline di tè
fate cuocere per ca 2 ore a fuoco basso.
fate prova piattino.
la marmellata è pronta quando non si muove dal piatto inclinato.
invasate e capovolgete.

è ottima con formaggio lerdaamer
è ottima con il pane integrale
è ottima con il pane di semola..
è semplicemente ottima!!

* 1dl = 100ml so 9dl= 900ml about a liter
how to convert
ps. thanks for the help rose!!!
